Q: What do I have to know?
A: We tried to put as much info as we could across these pages but in a nutshell: come to Melbs, make sure you've packed something bright & colourful for the wedding in Kew and come boogie. We've popped specific info on THIS PAGE for travel and accom questions.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Colourful Formal! To avoid the many different confusing interpretations google will give you we mean: bright & colourful midi-full length dresses, suits with bright ties (or a popped collar if that's your vibe), and funky shirt & skirt/pant combos. Pretty much wear what you feel "hot as" in & think it's a fit you'd want a cool photo of.
Pleeeease don't wear denim and absolutely NO footy shorts (Ruby's brother, Oscar, promised to do this when they were little and fighting once so we feel the need to explicitly mention).
Q: You say dress in colour but what does that MEAN?
A: Wear something bright, bold, patterned, primary colour, neon colour or even pastel if you're a nervy colour girlie! A colourful or funky patterned tie is still groovy, but this is THE time to whip out the pink suit you've been wanting to wear. Anyone wearing a dress, think midi or maxi length and go bold & bright as well! If you see something and think "Rubes would wear this" it's probably a good option.
We've also got a pinterest board with inspo for you here: XXXXXXXXX
The only colours NOT to wear are white (spoiler) and black ideally (unless you're sprucing it up with a bright tie).
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Please arrive at Studley Grounds around 3:30pm! We will be starting right on 4pm and if you're late you will not be let in!
Q: Is there car parking?
A: Yep! There is plenty of parking in at Studley Grounds and your car can stay for a sleepover if you need it to.
Q: Are the ceremony & reception at the same place?
A: Everything is happening at Studley Grounds, we'll be there all evening!
Q: Will the wedding be inside or outside?
A: As long as we're not being drowned by rain we'll be outside for the ceremony & inside for the reception. If we did happen to get rain we have a great wet weather plan for inside at SG.
Q: I have allergies, can you make sure I won't have a bad night?
A: We have a GUN kitchen team at Studley Grounds who assure us they are in tip-top knick to manage any & all allergies and anaphylaxis. If you would like to speak to them before the wedding let us know and we'll get you their number because we want you to feel ready to rock and roll without worrying about dairy (slay to our many dairy-intolerant/allergic pals).
Q: Can I bring a +1?
A: We added everyone we'd love to celebrate with to our invites and have limited space at the venue so we are limited to those named on the invitations sorry!
Q: Can I bring my kids?
A: If you have this question shoot us a text! We might have some children at the ceremony for our family pics etc but there will be no kids at the reception - we want everyone to party and relax!
Q: Can we take pics and post them on social media?
A: Sure! But please don't have your phones out during the ceremony - we have a fab photographer who is brilliant at her job capturing that part. Once we've walked back down the aisle though: go wild!
Q: Can I give you a pressie?
A: We are so happy to have you coming to celebrate with us: your presence is a present! If you insist on a gift: we are lucky to have been living together for a couple of years now and have decked out our apartment with lots of funky bits and pieces, so would love for you to contribute to our wishing well on the day! We'll use this for our future ( hopefully bigger) home and for some more adventures together.
Q: Will there be drinks?
A: Have you met the Glenns (our dads)? Of course! We'll have a bar and there will be plenty of non-alcoholic options for people who don't want a bev too.
Q: Wow this website is beautiful, who designed it?
A: Ruby is a gun and cracked it at the template websites so she spent too much time making this look cool. Jack also helped with the doodling & copy review. Please tell them if you love it xo
